AdidasnewYou may be wondering where in the hell I have been and why I haven't been posting lately.  Well!  TypePad has been on the fritz and after spending a few hours trying to figure out the deal-e-oh I finally gave up and said "fuck it".  I sent help requests blahdee blah blah and nothing happened.  Today, I decided to give it a shot to see if the bugs were fixed and so far so good.

Very well then.  how bout themAdidas up yonder?  I know, I love em too.

My dear friend Tina Steinberg (I call her Burrita) is a fantastically talented jewelry designer.  I always love a good synchronistic/meant to be story and hers is just that.  While on a sabbatical from her 'day job' the sweet and saucy design muses came calling and Tina allowed them in.

Her success comes from lots of hard work, lots of play, lots of hunting around for funky fresh components and such and lots of good vibes.

When she showed me this here bird necklace a few weeks ago I bum-rushed and tackeled Tina wrenching it out of her hands.  GIMME!  I have worn it almost every day since it came home to roost in my home.  The pendent is pretty big which I like and makes any outfit I wear more interesting.  Bird Bling.

Go to her site and mosey round'...you will find so many stylish and unique things!

Also, go here and vote for Tina as your favorite up and coming jewelry designer!  HAVE FUN.

Print goodness!  Oh my goodness.

I went to Santa's Town.

Santafetravelhostess_003 Here is my vantage point as I am about to white knuckle it on a small jet to Santa Fe by way of Alburqurque.

Santafetravelhostess_006 Ahhhhhhhhh.....please don't plummet, please don't careen.

Santafetravelhostess_014 Okay...now I am on the ground and in Santa Fe.  We wandered into a rug gallery/store right as the owner and workers were unfurling a KICK ASS gorgeous antique Persion rug priced at......drumroll.......$250,000.  Yes indeed.  The rug is apparantly one of the hottest Persian rugs on the market at this time.  Scroll down.

Santafetravelhostess_015 It's HUGE.  It's stupendous!  It was truly amazing.

Santafetravelhostess_026 This here my friends is my very good friend Swazo.  His name is Mark Swazo Hinds, but we all call him Swazo.  He is is standing on his deck which sits in Pecos on 60+ acres.  He is a Tesuque Pueblo Native American, a well respected artist, one of the best storytellers I have ever met and about as badass as they come.

Santafetravelhostess_032 A path o' joy on the land.

Santafetravelhostess_050 This is my dear friend Judyth's kitchen.  She is a buh-rilliant writer (she wrote a magnificent poem after 9/11 titled Wage Peace-google it.), teacher, goddess and a tremendous baker.  Here is the scene as the homemade strawberry and peach pie was getting underway.  Her countertop is copper!

Santafetravelhostess_062 Here she is (check out her bracelets!) doing up the pie crusts....yum.

Santafetravelhostess_093 Here it is!  This had to be one of the most delicious pies I have ever savored.  Perfect in every way.  Do you love the yellow sink as much as I do?

Santafetravelhostess_089 Her land.  Rockmirth.

Santafetravelhostess_102 Judyth reading us one of her delicious poems.

Santafetravelhostess_132 The two Greggs.  The one on the left is a long time Santa Fe resident and a fellow writer.  The one on the right is a super talented graphic designer and funny as hell.  His ideas never end and that is a great thing.  Gregg on the left was at church that morning eating ambrosia and bumping into Shirley McLaine.  Damn, I want to meet her.

Santafetravelhostess_135_2 Heres my good friend TODD!  T-Money Cent as we lovingly refer to him.  This is the latest painting he is working on.  The picture doesn't do it justice-it's large and in charge and fucking amazing.

Santafetravelhostess_151 Heading home.  White knuckles, sweaty palms and two margaritas.

Echo7 How bombastic is this funky crunky clutch?  Echo Designs has been around for a long time...somehow they have flown slightly out of range of my heat seeking radar.  Hmmmmm.  Lap it up style hounds, lap it up!
